The 1920s Project

(English Version)

NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti) at Milan, asigned us a project for History of fashion, I had to choose a decade and starting from that inspiration begin with my creative process to make a garment, I decided to make two (in my next post I’ll show you the other) I decided the 20s because it was revolutionary in terms of fashion clothing, from tight layers moved to a simple and straight  and relaxed silhoutte and short skirts.

My project is called “Ritzy Dolls” which means elegant women (from the 1920s lingo), solid colors in navy blue, white and pink used in comfortable and light pieces are the starting point of this collection, describing a simple and bold woman but above all elegant.

This monotonous look with a summery and relax style was inspired in one of my icons, Coco Chanel, whis is the initiator of comfortable clothing and experimented with the masculine style. This look is a version of the sailor masculine pant and the jacket Chanel style, the broided pearls is the characteristic detail inspired in the 20s, which Chanel was a total fan.
